Pre-Prep PrePrep

The children all opened a very interesting parcel this week, a WW1 care package.

These packages were sent to soldiers living and fighting in the trenches from friends and family. They contained many essential things like toothbrushes, tooth powder and non-perishable foods as well as hats, gloves, scarves and socks, all essential to the lives of soldiers. The children brainstormed and wrote about the items they would include if they were sending a care package to someone. Also, this week the children were twinkling stars, fluttering angels and a host of other characters as they arrived at Bethlehem for a special event. The Year 2 children have loved being able to put all their dialogue and acting abilities to good use as the Nativity comes together for the dress rehearsals and performances. Their experiences of many nativities over the years in the Pre-Prep has got them ready for their roles in the Raggedy King. The excitement was increased by the surprise arrival of Father Christmas on a helicopter. What a busy first week of December we have been able to enjoy.
