Reception are Ready for Father Christmas!

Reception have been full of Christmas joy this week as we have been practicing writing letters for a very special person….. Father Christmas!

Inspired by his helicopter visit last week, we thought we could send some letters to the North Pole to ask how the Christmas preparations are going. Fingers crossed they get there on time. We have also enjoyed talking about all the reasons Christmas is so special for us. The children came up with the most beautiful responses, from ‘seeing what our cheeky elves have done’ to ‘making tracks in the snow on the way to the park’. The children have also had lots of messy fun with the challenge of having to put Miss Coker-Harris’ snowman back together after he melted over the weekend; unfortunately, we came to the conclusion that Mr Snowman was just not ‘solid’ enough and would have to stay as a ‘liquid’ puddle. To end such a busy term, the Reception team would just like to say a big thank you and we hope you have the most wonderful Christmas! We cannot wait to welcome you all back in January.
