Year 2 Are Getting in the Festive Spirit

Storm Bert might have blown some fences down and burst a few rivers, but Year 2 have firmly kept their feet on the ground this week.

We have travelled back in time to the Great War of 1914-18 to see what life was like in the trenches. The children have used speech marks to write conversations between the men who lived in the trenches. We reminded ourselves how we use speech marks and how conversation flows between people and how we record that conversation. It has been wonderful to see confident, happy, and enthusiastic children performing on the stage over the last few weeks. They are all very excited to put on their costumes to add the next dimension to their characters. Please can I ask that this last weekend before the performance we all have a restful weekend. Mrs Davison will be doing the same ready for next week.
