Reception Were Shining Stars in Nativity Week

Stars have never shined as brightly as Reception this week as they showcased their brilliant dancing and singing in our Nativity.
The confidence shown by all of the children was such a wonderful sight to see as the Christmas season draws ever closer. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from a very busy Father Christmas who arrived in a Navy Helicopter which wasn’t out of the ordinary as we learnt in the story of ‘Harvey Slumfenburger’s Christmas Present’ where we heard about Father Christmas’ many modes of transport, including skis, jeeps, and planes. The children did some fantastic retelling of this story as we created some very dramatic actions to go alongside the story. Between all the Christmas excitement, the children enjoyed swapping the stardust for mud as they got stuck into nature, creating some fantastic mud pies in their final Forest School session of 2024.
