Reception Create Portraits of Bear and Hare

Christmas has already started to fill the air for Reception this week as we introduced the story of ‘The Bear and Hare’.
The joy of Bear’s first Christmas inspired us to write about all the reasons we think Christmas is special, including spotting the “bright Christmas lights in the dark” and “having time with Mummy and Daddy”. We all thought that Bear definitely shouldn’t miss out on all of that this year! Inspired by this beautiful story, the children created portraits of Bear and Hare, by mixing the colours they needed and thinking about the composition of their final piece. Festive Friday was the most wonderful end to our week, with the children showing great resilience and perseverance when completing their sponsored Rudolph Run and were excited to see that Father Christmas had taken some time out of his very busy schedule to come and read us his favourite Christmas story.
