EAL Pupils Visit Year 2

On Tuesday the EAL pupils visited Year 2 to share their Christmas traditions and games. 

The EAL pupils spent a week preparing their activities; making decorations, PowerPoints and games all in English.  This may sound easy but not when your first language isn't English! The pupils really worked hard to make sure they had learnt the correct English vocabulary so the Year 2 pupils would be able to understand. The EAL pupils also made flashcards to teach the other children some Spanish or Chinese words at the same time! On the day everyone had a super time celebrating other cultures and their traditions.  Not only did we celebrate Spanish Christmas but also Chinese New Year.
